TITOBA Dubai Get Together Nov'12

TITOBA Dubai Get Together @ Dubai Sports City 

TITOBA Dubai  was organized on 03-Nov-12 at the Olivia Gardens in Sports City. Our Special Guest's were Mr Puneet Chawala'90 & Mr YP Garg'90 from New Delhi, who specially flew down to dubai for this alumni get-together. 

 

Following the traditions, a formal round of introduction of alumni was done along with their spouse.

Puneet Chawla & YP Garg also shared the Nobel Initiative taken by 1990 Batch by creating a Charitable Trust for sponsoring students education, based on merit under the mentor ship of Director TIT&S Bhiwani.
 

Mr Harinder lamba'88 also made up for the event all the way from Bahrain.We also meet Mr R K Gulati'83 & his family for the first time in the get together. Mr Gulati is based out of Nigeria and his family is based out of Dubai.

TITOBA Kids kept themselves busy in the children play ground attached to the community center. Mr Puneet Chawla, Mr YP Grag & Mr Harinder Lamba along with Kshitiz Saxena shared the TITAN's (TIT Alumni Network) Vision & Mission with the alumni. A brainstorming session happened on how can the Dubai Alumni contribute towards the Alma Mater by giving guest lectures at college whenever they visit India, by organizing industry visits for students via their vendor base, by forming mentors group who can impart some education / experiences for the students interested in fashion & retail.

Puneet Chwala & YP Garg later distributed chocolates to the TITOBA Kids. Nitin Kohli, Rohit Khatri, Ankit Aggarwal, Manu Monga & Pratishthit Chauhan showed their interets in forming the Mentor group for coaching some students on retail & fashion. Pooja Dhingra, Ashwain Jain, Kavita Aggarwal volunteered to do some guest lectures whenever they visit India next.

Manisha, Priyanka, Bhawna, Pooja Khatri & Rachna helped manage the food and beverages for the show. A special thanks to Dinesh Dhingra for helping us organize the event with full enthusiasm and dedication.

TITOBA Dubai is planning another get together in Nov'12.

Our Guest's this time our Mr Puneet Chawala'90 & Mr YP Garg'90 from New Delhi. Both of them are in the Core Committee of TIT Alumni Network (formerly known as TITOBA). You can find details on TITAN vision & mission online @ TIT Alumni Network.

Timings : 7pm onwards
Cuisine : bar-be-Que (Veg/Non veg) + dinner

Due to less participation shown in desert camping and karva chauth falling on 02-nov-12, we have moved the get-togther to 03-nov-12. the venue and plan has also been altered. we will have a bar-be-Que (veg + non veg) followed by drinks & dinner.We now expect a better turn around from TITOBA Dubai Alumni.

I am glad to inform you that 68^th All India and 10^th International Textile Conference is being organized in Mumbai by the Textile Association (India) on 30^th November & Ist December 2012 in Hotel ITC Maratha, Andheri (E), Mumbai. The theme of this important conference is ‘World Textile – Challenges towards Excellence’

You may also be pleased to learn that the Textile Association (India) is headed by Shri D R Mehta of TIT1966 Batch and Shri Anil Gupta (1974 Batch) as National President and National Vice President respectively. Besides, Shri Arvind Sinha (1976 Batch) is the Advisor for the conference.

On this occasion, a grand Mela of TITOBIANS from all over the country has also been planned over Cocktail Dinner. This will provide an excellent opportunity to all of us to revive our old personal contacts.
